Tokyo SCIPLANT Showcase with the EU Business Hub Mission

Tokyo SCIPLANT Showcase with the EU Business Hub Mission

The Carbon Games was proud to be selected for the EU Business Hub – Japan and the Republic of Korea, an initiative supported by the European Union to strengthen collaboration in the fields of green technology, digital innovation, and urban sustainability.

As part of this initiative, we joined a curated business mission to Japan, designed to connect innovative European startups with leading partners, investors, and institutions in the region. Our journey began in Tokyo, where we had the opportunity to showcase SCIPLANT at Japan IT Week Spring 2025, one of Asia’s largest and most influential tech trade fairs.

A Strategic Platform for European Innovation in Asia

The EU Business Hub is a multi-year programme aimed at increasing the global competitiveness of European SMEs by providing access to key Asian markets. Each mission brings together a diverse group of high-potential companies from across Europe, working in strategic sectors like sustainable mobility, digital twins, urban infrastructure, and climate resilience—all of which are central to The Carbon Games’ mission.

Highlights from Japan IT Week Spring 2025

Our team participated in the Japan IT Week Spring conference, held from April 23–25, 2025, at Tokyo Big Sight. As part of the EU Business Hub booth, we had the opportunity to demonstrate SCIPLANT, our immersive urban planning tool, to stakeholders across Japan’s innovation ecosystem.

Visitors experienced a live 3D simulation of Tokyo, with detailed Japanese urban data overlaid onto buildings in real time. Using a lightweight XR interface, users could explore city-scale environments and access dynamic layers of information—such as zoning, density, and environmental impact—on demand. The result was a powerful demonstration of how SCIPLANT can support transparent and context-sensitive planning decisions in dense, complex urban areas.

We engaged with some of Japan’s largest companies in mobility, infrastructure, and smart city development—and were inspired by the strong interest in immersive, sustainable planning solutions. The event helped us establish valuable leads and opened exciting possibilities for future partnerships in the region.

Looking Ahead

The mission to Tokyo marks a meaningful step forward in our international growth. We’re grateful to the EU Business Hub – Japan and the Republic of Korea, and to the organizers of Japan IT Week, for the opportunity to showcase our work and connect with new partners on the ground.

We look forward to continuing our participation in the EU Business Hub missions and deepening our collaborations in Asia as we advance our mission of building smarter, more sustainable cities.
