Azul Game Jam 2025: Supporting play and purpose

From March 28–30, 2025, The Carbon Games proudly sponsored the Azul Game Jam, held at the AI Hub by Unicorn Factory Lisboa. This annual event brings together developers, designers, and creators to prototype games and experiences that explore technology’s role in shaping the future.

Our sponsorship reflects our continued commitment to supporting local innovation, creative experimentation, and the next generation of interactive tech talent. Game jams are not only spaces for building new ideas — they’re ecosystems where play and purpose intersect, and where innovation thrives under time constraints and collaboration.

As part of the weekend experience, we invited participants to take a break from coding and creativity by testing our latest project, SCIPLANT XR. Available throughout the event on META Quest 3 headsets, this immersive experience gave game jammers the chance to explore interactive city environments and offer their feedback in a relaxed, hands-on format.

To thank those who tested and shared their insights, we hosted a raffle giveaway at the end of the weekend.

We're especially grateful to the Azul Game Jam organizers for creating such a vibrant and collaborative space — and to the participants who took a moment to test SCIPLANT XR between game-building sessions.
