Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead XR Developer to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As the Lead XR Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced XR applications that integrate state-of-the-art AI models. You will work closely with our project management and urban planning teams to bring our visionary projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of XR applications, ensuring seamless integration of AI models and advanced functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, urban planners, and other developers, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and immersive XR environments using Unity3D and Unreal Engine.
• Implement advanced AI-driven features, such as automatic speech recognition, neural machine translation, visual language processing, and conversational agents.
• Optimize application performance and ensure robust functionality through rigorous testing and debugging.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• *Must be an EU citizen or resident
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in XR development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Unity3D and Unreal Engine, with extensive experience in developing interactive and immersive XR applications.
• Strong programming skills in C#, C++, and Python.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, including:
• Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
• Neural Machine Translation
• Visual Language Processing
• Conversational Agents
• Familiarity with integrating and optimizing AI models in XR environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and scaling XR applications.
• Familiarity with sustainability and urban planning concepts and the ability to integrate them into technical solutions.
• Prior experience in leading development teams and managing complex technical projects.
